MAX Fitness Gives Back

Thanksgiving 2010, M.A.X. Fitness puts together their Basket Brigade to help local families in need on Thanksgiving.

This Thanksgiving, 70 families on Long Island are saying “Thank You” to Rafael Gomez and the members of M.A.X. Fitness.  Through donations over the past month, M.A.X. Fitness raised enough money to buy those families a FULL Thanksgiving meal.  We are talking turkey, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, corn, pies, bread, and more.  The needy families found out about this 2nd annual Basket Brigade through word of mouth as well as through Glory House, a local organization helping families in need on Long Island.  Check out the video belowto see the volunteers put together the food baskets, as well as to hear from some people explaining how the program will help them this holiday season. M.A.X. Fitness Gives Back…And You Can Help!

Thanksgiving 2010, M.A.X. Fitness puts together their Basket Brigade to help local families in need on Thanksgiving.

We are all looking forward to coming to the Thanksgiving table packed with our favorite goodies.  For some, that may not happen.  Fortunately M.A.X. M.A.X. Fitness is asking for donations from any local delis or eateries in the (more…)

Toys For Tots Drop-Off Locations

It might seem like just another toy or simple gesture, to you. But for a child in need, a brand-new toy on Christmas can bring the magic to their Christmas morning that they never expected or dreamt of. This heartful, thoughtful gesture can deliver a message of hope that may change the future of a less fortunate, innocent child. One toy and selfless donation by a stranger may teach a young child how to be responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens, like those that donate to this wonderful cause.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

How can you get involved?  Where can you drop off toys? (more…)
