8 Germiest Places In The Mall

It’s officially holiday shopping time!  Whether you’ve started at 12 midnight on Black Friday or are preparing to brace Walt Whitman or Roosevelt Field in these coming weeks, I highly recommend bringing some anti-bacterial soap with you!  Here are the 8 germiest places in the mall to avoid:

8. The bathroom SINK and SOAP dispenser:  I know you all figured this would be on the list, but it is not the toilet that is the place for the most germs.  The sink handle and soap dispenser are the biggest culprits for E. Coli and bacteria.  (Close bathroom third: the door handle)

7. Escalator handrails:  Another place where germy hands love to touch.  Keep your hands off them (they go so slow as it is!).

6. ATM machines: Especially this time of year, many hands are touching them, with the enter button being the germiest.  Use your knuckle, glove, or refresh the anti-bacterial lotion after use! (more…)

Toys For Tots Drop-Off Locations

It might seem like just another toy or simple gesture, to you. But for a child in need, a brand-new toy on Christmas can bring the magic to their Christmas morning that they never expected or dreamt of. This heartful, thoughtful gesture can deliver a message of hope that may change the future of a less fortunate, innocent child. One toy and selfless donation by a stranger may teach a young child how to be responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens, like those that donate to this wonderful cause.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

How can you get involved?  Where can you drop off toys? (more…)
