2011 Holiday Lights Contest
One of my favorite holiday activities is driving around, looking at holiday lights. Everyone loves to see the decorations, whether they be simple and elegant or lavish and crazy! What better way to share that holiday cheer than with the 2011 Holiday Lights Contest!
The contest will run from December 1 through December 29, 2011. We’ll post the images of your holiday lights right here on the website as well as on our Facebook page, and the Nassau Happening readers will get to choose their favorite. The photo with the most “likes” on the Nassau Happening Facebook page by 11:59pm on December 29 will be named Nassau Happening’s Best Holiday Lights of Long Island 2011 and be awarded (more…)

You saw it here and voted on Facebook. Our Makeover Contest Winner Michele worked hard to win her COMPLETE makeover, courtesy of Maximus Spa Salon. Last week, she was transformed! Thanks to Maximus Spa Salon for doing an amazing job giving Michele a brand new look that she loved. Owner Richard completed Michele’s haircut, Nikki worked on her multi-dimensional hair color as well as her beautiful make-up, and Maria shaped her brows. Gluten-Free: Long Island Here It Comes!
If you are eating a gluten-free diet, you may find the lack of options frustrating. Thankfully, many supermarkets and restaurants on Long Island are introducing gluten-free options and menus for their patrons so that eating out does not have to be a headache. Here are some ideas for places you can dine and enjoy a fabulous evening out.
