Long Island Spring Beer Dinner
Have you read our review of the Library Cafe? Hopefully you have, and are ready to try it for yourself at their Long Island Spring Beer Dinner this month. On Thursday, April 24 at 7 p.m. the Library Cafe will host a four course dinner paired with brews from Greenport Harbor, Blue Point, Lessing’s Local Ale (brewed by Blue Point), and Long Ireland. 2011 Holiday Lights Contest
One of my favorite holiday activities is driving around, looking at holiday lights. Everyone loves to see the decorations, whether they be simple and elegant or lavish and crazy! What better way to share that holiday cheer than with the 2011 Holiday Lights Contest!
The contest will run from December 1 through December 29, 2011. We’ll post the images of your holiday lights right here on the website as well as on our Facebook page, and the Nassau Happening readers will get to choose their favorite. The photo with the most “likes” on the Nassau Happening Facebook page by 11:59pm on December 29 will be named Nassau Happening’s Best Holiday Lights of Long Island 2011 and be awarded (more…)
The Munch Box Food Truck
We have all seen or heard about the food truck invasion lately. They’re on TV, around the streets, and a few weeks ago I even attended the Food Truck Festival in Manhattan. Now you can get in on the action at Four Food Studio in Melville with the Munch Box. Their menu includes all the food truck staples. You can get a variety of sliders like the Simple Slider, Crispy Chicken, Meatloaf, Pulled Pork, Caprese, Lobster Roll Slider, or even the Super Slider with bacon, american, onions, pickles, and dressing. Some other favorites are the Four by Four which comes with 4 beef patties, 4 slices of American cheese, and special sauce. Fries laoded with cheese and Build Your Own Salad with toppings and protein add-ons from shrimp to tofu to tuna complete the tasty menu. Stop by and check it out! Let us know what you think.
