On Monday, June 18, the 2012 Long Island Hospitality Ball is back! This year’s event will be held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. This fundraiser helps the American Cancer Society, and raised $170,000 alone from last year’s event!
The gala was created and organized by Keith Hart, a hospitality industry mainstay and cancer survivor, to raise funds for charity by showcasing offerings from the region’s top restaurants, wine and spirit brands, nightclubs and entertainers as well as hotels and catering halls. (more…)
It’s here again! Time for your chance to revisit your favorites for a deal, or try out a new spot at a great price! The bi-annual and award-winning Long Island Restaurant Week kicks off its Spring 2012 campaign on Sunday, April 22 for eight days ending on Sunday, April 29. Participating restaurants will offer a three-course prix fixe for $24.95 all night, every night they are open except Saturday when the menu must only be offered until 7 p.m.
Restaurants – spanning across Long Island’s 118 miles – are signing up daily to participate. Each will serve its own unique $24.95 menu with a minimum choice of three appetizers, three entrées and three desserts.
Long Island Restaurant Week also believes in the importance of helping neighbors facing hunger and will make a donation following the campaign to Island Harvest, Long Island’s largest hunger relief organization.
